Ticket for public transport in Zurich

The conference registration fee (except for the one-day rate) covers a ticket for all public transport in Zurich for the period 14-19 June 2020.

Persons who register for the conference will receive this ticket in a separate email two weeks before the conference begins. The ticket is valid for all forms of public transport (trams, buses, boats and cableways) within the city of Zurich (Zone 110) for the period 14-19 June 2020.  It is also valid for the train or tram from Zurich Airport into the city during that period.

Please note: Ticket holders must keep their tickets on hand at all times when they travel and be prepared to show them (spot-check system) to an official if asked. Any accompanying person(s) must buy a ticket or travel pass from the machine before they board. 24-hour tickets are available and are a good choice if guests plan to visit several city destinations.

Are you arriving in Zurich earlier than 14 June 2020 or leaving later than 19 June 2020? Are you bringing guests? For anyone buying their own tickets, the following links may be useful:

Taking the tram from Zurich Airport? Follow the signs for “Tram / Tramway”. If you don’t already have a ticket, the ticket machines are located in front of you after you exit the building, on both left and right. The machines are self-explanatory — just buy a ticket into the city. You may pay by credit card, or with coins. The tram stop is straight ahead after the ticket machines. To get into Zurich, take tram number 10. If you are going directly to the conference, get out at “ETH/Universitätsspital” (takes about half an hour from the airport).
