Digital Presentations

Persons unable to travel to Switzerland for the ICED 2020 conference were able to submit abstracts for digital presentations during the Second Call. Accepted digital presentations will take the form of videos which will be uploaded to a public platform. Potential viewers of digital presentations may access them during the conference, at a time and place of their own choosing.

Digital presentations

If their abstracts have been accepted, digital presenters may submit their videos (submission details will be provided in the acceptance emails). The video should include a visual component (either a screencast, slides or a recording of the presenter speaking) and an audio component. The presentation should last no longer than 20 minutes.

Digital presentations will be uploaded to a publicly available platform. This platform will include an online interactive tool via which viewers may submit questions to the digital presenter during the conference (14-18 June 2020). Digital presenters must commit to answering viewers’ questions in a timely manner as they come in.

Technical details

The preferred file type is .mp4, but we will also accept other common file types. The maximum file size is 1 GB. We ask presenters to pay particular attention to the audio quality of their files. Please note: ICED 2020 conference organisers are unable to provide technical help to digital presenters in creating their digital presentations.

Submitting the digital presentation

By submitting a digital presentation, presenters are granting their permission for conference organisers to upload the video file to a publicly available platform. Video submission is via a file drop system.
